Hullaballoo News: Penguin Panic

Animation Pilot for Nord Anglia Education UK with LASALLE.

The idea was to create a news show for children, led by children, who talk about educational topics in interesting and funny stories. In the pilot, the story is about penguins overtaking the city because their homes have melted away. Made for a science class on melting polar caps for seven year olds. 

 

My major roles were writer, art director and character designer.

Inspired by the art of the Jetsons, Hanna Barbara and more 60s themed cartoons, we came up with a style that calls back to the vibrant, modernist feel.
